Overall sales for that year amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and various components. During 5 years of operation, the business had expanded to forty workers and their yearly sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is one of the leading international producers within the material handling trade.

Production and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business opportunities. During the past 60 years, the material handling trade has matured into a highly advanced area and Cascade has proudly played a part on this growth. Cascade at present continues to develop as the leader provider of forklift attachments and numerous related products. The company feels assured in their ability in order to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive within the world market.

All through the nineteen fifties, Cascade began to fabricate, design, and promote its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was built in the year 1956, so as to house all of the plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which remains to be the company's present center of operations. Following fifteen years of business, total employees reached a hundred and eighty employees and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.

1959 in Springfield, Mesquite a second production plant was built. 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry when the business recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

In 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the continental US to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Springfield, Mesquite and Portland, Oregon.
